Ramblers machine tramples opposition

Hi all,

The team is looking better and better as we hit the Christmas break. This week Westminster Old Scholars were no match for the talented Ramblers outfit.

The Captain is out with a groin injury but the team pulled together to amass 281 runs and then proceeded to bowl out Westminster for 25.... Yes 25 runs. In their second dig the Westminster boys showed a little more heart and were 4 down when the game finished.

We now are poised at 3 wins and 3 losses to make an assault on the finals after Xmas starting with the local derby against Coromandel Cricket Club on Jan 9th at Hewett Sports Ground. This is not just another game as a win will go towards securing the Hewett Benson Trophy, so I expect all to come out firing.

Hopefully I will make a return against Coromandel as we look to make it 4 wins out of the last five games.

Merry Xmas and a safe new year to all at Coromandel Valley Ramblers Cricket Club and to all players and members in the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association.

Until next time,

Steve Davenport

Goji Products information

Hi all,

Here is some information on how to take the various Freelife products that we are selling. If you are interested in these products please let me know by calling 0882974028.

GoChi
60ml in the morning and 60ml some other time during the day. Most people suggest the last thing you do before going to bed as it helps with relaxation and sleep. Therefore, a bottle should be consumed every 7-8 days if taken correctly and all 4 bottles will be consumed every month. Hence, next product on your door step. I personally take it 3 times a day because I love it and average 6 bottles a month but for the recommended dosage 120ml a day.

Please note: Make sure people do not drink from the bottle as the bacteria from your saliva will kill the active ingredient because there are no preservatives in the product.

If you want to do some more research on the product and its benefits the chief product formulator publishes heaps of articles on www.gojihive.com and also there is a heap of testimonials for a whole range of conditions on www.gojihealthstories.com

The best way to explain this product is it is the premium functional beverage meaning product that provides your body with the most nutritional value on the planet. It works on a cellular level. I often do a comparsion of cheap wine vs expensive wine and explain the difference is the treatments, grape quality, bottling process, preservatives, soils, climates, and a whole range of different things add to the cost. This is no different, grapes from the highest point plants grow, most nutritionally rich soils, hand picked and cold pressed, no herbacides, pesticides, top level bottling process. This all contributes to the quality of the product and why it works so well.

TAIslim
Take the product 60ml within 5 minutes before breakfast and lunch with a glass of water and 2 litres of water a day. Critical for best results within 5 minutes as this helps with the curbing apetite and also the water helps with digestion. You can do your second shot before dinner but if it keeps you awake at night do it at lunch. TAIslim speeds your metabolism and I have found 2 in 10 people cant sleep if taken before dinner.

Explain follow this system for best results. It is no different to a gym program, if you want to do a marathon and are only prepared to do one session a week your performance will not be the best it could. Or if you have the flu and are on anti biotics and you only take half the dose you are probably still going to have the flu.

Another important thing to explain. If you start taking TAIslim and you feel like you have a constant rumble, bloating etc this is normal. It means you have a bad bacteria built up in your system and the nuflora fibre complex is flushing this out. Explain that it is actually a positive thing because that would continue to build and create a few problems down the track. You need to touch on this because people may get on the product and they may stop because they think it is not working. In fact, it is probably doing a life changing thing for their health. If they do get this symptom, they can either reduce the dose a bit ie 30ml 2 times a day or even sample some form of dairy to settle the stomach.

Chi 3
Take the shot when you feel tired, or need a boost, or before training or a performance event. Some people suggest it works best 30 minutes before the event or sport. Also works wonders for hangovers.

I explain to people that if you are going to take the products, take them properly or your results will be limited. The products work, they are proven to work by science but like anything if you take them once every 3 days of course they will have limited effect.

Until next time

Sun Shines In Adelaide

Hi all,

Wow did summer hit Adelaide Australia early or what. Switching straight from Winter to Summer Adelaide has gone through it's first heatwave in history in November. Adelaide sweltered through nine days in a row of above 35 degrees, and whilst there is relief today the mecury will rise once again to 41 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

At Davenport Durham Enterprises we have felt it big time, almost unable to keep up with the demand on air-conditioning. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries are already out of three models until the first week of December, which has enabled us to also introduce our new brand of Samsung air-conditioning.

If you are thinking of air-conditioning your house this season it would be a good idea to get on the phone or email and place your orders now so that we can ensure delivery when you require the product.

Copper tube is also flying out the door and we are offering 5% discount for every 5 rolls of paircoil you buy on one invoice.

We look forward to seeing you very soon at DDE 28 Richmond Rd Keswick SA 5035 0882974028 and sadavenport@dde.com.au

Ramblers Good Form Continues

Hi all, well the Ramblers went to town on Keswick this week following on from last weeks breakthrough victory. I won the toss on a very hot day and elected to bat. The openers put on 58 and really set the day up. Batsmen continued to score heavily thorughout the afternoon. Badly tearing a groin wrecked my day however the lower order hit lustily in the late afternoon to ensure a score of 291.

With some disciplined bowling and keen fielding we should be able to make this victory number two. Well done so far lads, we stuck to the game plan, batted all day and look what happened.

Steve Davenport

Hi all,

Ride Like Crazy 2010

Hi all,

Did you see the Ride Like Crazy story on A Current Affair last night???? If you didn't have a look at this link
http://www.adelaideaca.com.au/story_details.php?sID=TkRndw

The Police are going to make Ride Like Crazy an annual event for childhood cancer in honour of their great mate.

One of the girls in the story is also known to us, Shawni Bow, who we pray fights hard and recovers from her own bout of cancer. Shawni is a basketballer from the Forestville Eagles and all her friends and coaches and club are right behind her.

If you would like to ride in the January event in Adelaide please go to the SAPOL web site and follow the links. This is a great cause to support

Souvenir Scene are once again proud to be sponsors of and suppliers of the merchandise and bike jersey's for Ride Like Crazy.

Enjoy the story

Ramblers Rule

Hi all,

What a form reversal as the Ramblers took on the top team the South Coasters and won last Saturday afternoon.

On a very hot day and with the lawn mowed, the Ramblers bowlers put in a very disciplined and consistent effort. They created many opportunities and all were taken by a very keen fielding group. Well done boys.

Congratulations to the South Coasters who played the game in great spirit and ensured a very enjoyable game was had by all.

Thanks also to all of the Ramblers players and members who attended the club on Saturday night to celebrate my new games record at the club. It is a great club the CVRCC and its times like this you realise it.

Lets all get together at practice on Wednesday night and get ready for round 4

PIA Trade Day Saturday 31st October

Hi all,

Saturday the 31st saw the PIA put on a very well organised trade day at St Peters Town Hall.

It was a very worthwhile experience for us at DDE as we got to meet many plumbers, trade teachers, SA Water, etc as well as many of the distributors showing their wares.

Being new on the plumbing wholesale side of the business we were very pleased to see and hear that people were knowing who we were and receiving our newsletters and sms. I think it firmed in our mind exactly where DDE is sitting and the market that we are aiming for.

Thanks to the PIA who put up many prizes to attract clients, displays, discussions, and talks, also providing us with professional coffee, and a Lions Club BBQ.

Well done and we at DDE look very forward to participating in more of these days both in the city and the country areas.

Until next time

Korfball Sensation

Hi all,

What a tough grand final we played last Sunday. In very hot conditions at Etsa Park the game went goal for goal for much of the first half, until North broke away to lead by 4 at half time. In the second half the Boomers slipped another goal behind until they staged a spirited comeback getting as close as two before finally conceding to a three goal defeat.

Both teams battled hard and North earned their victory.

But controversy was not far away. At the end of the game it was discovered that North Adelaide had played an unregistered and un qualified player. This meant that the Adelaide Boomers were judged premiers for 2009. This was certainly not the way you like to win particularly in a grand final, however the rules are the rules.

Well played everyone, the club were involved in three senior grandfinals and were runners up in the A and B grade.

Ramblers put up a good show

Hi all,

at last the Ramblers B grade showed some grit against some very good bowling on a slow ground. We set ourselves to bat for 60 overs and we did that scoring 220 runs and giving the opposition something to think about for next week.

Keep it up lads success is just around the corner if we want it bad enough.

Thanks for all the messages with regards me becoming the new games record holder at the club, they are most appreciated. Today I reckon I can feel each and every one of those 341 games.

Adelaide Boomers into Grand Final

Hi all,

What a game we played in last Sunday!!! Preliminary final day V Sikopi and it was an absolute thriller.

The game was played at a pretty hot pace and both sides went goal for goal. After half time Sikopi goaled twice in a row to lead until 2 and half minutes to go. The equaliser was scored and both sides attacked hard until the siren went. Full time and the game was tied. The match went to golden goal and after Sikopi had first use of the ball, good defense saw a turnover which resulted in the Boomers scoring the winning basket.

Congratulations to both teams who put up an awesome fight.

Boomers now meet North adelaide in the Grand Final next Sunday at ETSA Park around High Noon.

Good luck to both clubs.

Ramblers Fail in game 2

Hi all,

Well if we thought last week couldnt get much worse, the Ramblers excelled themselves in the second week!!!!! Dropping ten catches for the match and seven before the other side passed our score we sank to our second straight defeat.

The luckless bowlers created enough opportunites to get the side out twice but the fielders couldnt finish off the job. The opposition finally out for 160.

Oh what could have been!!!!!!

Air-conditioning Season Takes Off

Hi all,

Well all of a sudden clients have awoken all over the place, DDE have been rushed off our feet with plumbers and air-conditioning mechanics calling in from all over the state.

MHI units (Choice magazines A/C of the year) have been flying out of the door as Adelaide gets just a taste of the warm weather ahead. Now is a great time to consider purchasing an air-conditioner as mechanics have time to install very soon after you purchase the unit. Don't wait until the 40 degree days begin because then you will suffer as the tradies ques lengthen.

DDE offers Mitsubishie Heavy Industries, Samsung and Derby brands in split systems, ducted, multi splits, cassettes for domestic and commercial applications.

Call Paul, John or Steve to organise a home visit to correctly size your a/c to your requirements. 0882974028

Korfball- Adelaide Boomers

Hi all,

The home and away season ended last Sunday with our team overpowering a plucky Arista side. Team patterns were well executed after a pre game practice and all of sudden the goals started to add up after quite a few barron weeks.

Prelim final this Sunday at Etsa Park at 11.50am. Best of luck to all of our players in what should be a pretty exciting game. Here's hoping we take last weeks form with us!!!!!!

Coromandel Ramblers in big trouble

Hi all,

The second game for the year has got away to a very poor start for the Ramblers. After I lost the toss we were sent in to bat on an oval that was very lush after a week of rain and a pitch that did not allow the ball to come on to the bat. Many of us battled hard and for a long while without scoring very many runs. The end of the inning saw the Ramblers post only 87.

In the field we also toiled manfully taking 1 for 34. It will take an extraordinary effort to save this one.

Unfortunately we had many players in the club unavailable this week for a number of reasons. Thanks to all of those making themselves available to play in any grade asked of them.

Ramblers Disaster

Hi all,

One of my favourite things to do in Summer is to play cricket for the Coromandel Valley Ramblers Cricket Club, something I have been doing now for 33 seasons.

This season I am Captain of the section 2 side.

Saturday was our first game of the season. I lost the toss and we were sent into bat. After our 40 overs we had knocked up 199 runs in what was a pretty good effort. Most batsmen got some good practice out in the middle which will hold us in good stead for later on.

We went out into the field with confidence and enthusiasm and the wickets started to fall regularly. After 20 overs the home side were 8/91. We had an unbeatable hold on the game or did we. The North Haven Captain smashed our attack all over the park to make a centuryand to guide them to a 2 wicket victory.

In the end we just weren't consistent enough with the ball and the result from a certain win to a soul destroying loss. Not the ending I felt we deserved or expected.

This leaves us with plenty of work to do in game 2 next week and I will expect we have all learnt a big lesson from this game. It certainly aint over til its over!!!!!!

Until next time

Ride Like Crazy

Hi all, Earlier this year our company Souvenir Scene sponsored an event called Ride Like Crazy. This event was held by the SA Police to honour Mick Koerner who was fighting a losing battle with an aggresive brain cancer. What started out as a group of mates wanting to raise some money for this young family man's family turned into a tour de force of some 750 people from within the various services to friends and family. Such is the regard this family are held in the community, people turned out from all over the country to ride in this event held during the Tour Down Under. Souvenir Scene was asked to make a few tops which turned into hundreds of riding jersies, polo shirts and stubby coolers. I am attaching a few photos and a video to show you all a little about what it is all about. From this day forward Ride Like Crazy will become a major Police SA fundraiser to be held in Adelaide on a annual basis. Mick Koerner, is still fighting that battle although in recent months it has become even harder than before. He is supported by all of his friends and family. Until next time Steve Davenport

EBAY SHOP

Hi all, our Ebay shop is well and truly open for business!!!!!

All About Airconditioning- is our Ebay shop which has lots of products available to buy immediately.

Like many people I started to dabble on Ebay, mainly to clear a few items that had been sitting on our shelves for far to long. I had previously tried Ebay but did not take the time to understand it. In short I was too busy and couldn't be bothered studying up on what was required.

Once we got started and things started to sell it became almost addictive and as our sales started to grow, it became obvious that this was another potential money earner. Once I had hit the required target I opened All About Airconditioning. This grouped many of our common items in one spot and gave our clients, many of whom have become regulars to meet and see everything we have to offer.

Slowly but surely I am growing this side of the business and recently have become a Power Seller. I have also just come back from an Ebay seminar in Sydney which was fascinating and provided me with plenty of information and many short cuts which has made my Ebay experience even more rewarding.

I look forward to developing this side of the business over the coming months.

Please have a look at the site on Ebay, All About Airconditioning, my ID code is steve_davenport62

If you would like to discuss any aspects of Ebay please get in touch at any time.
